A breastplate-style pendant or Kōuma, hand-carved in stunning New Zealand jade stone by Alex Sands. The piece includes a presentation pouch and a description of the meaning of the carving.

The breastplate is a symbol of strength and leadership. They traditionally served as a shield and gave courage, protection and a feeling of safety to the wearer in battle. The Pounamu breastplate is thought of as a shield, giving the wearer strength and offering them protection throughout their life.
