Bone Heru
SKUA hand-crafted bone carved necklace of a Heru, or comb, with a traditional paua inlay in the eye. Supplied with an adjustable waxed braid cord, a traditional-style woven presentation pouch and a description of the meaning of the carving.

Heru (ornamental combs) were traditionally used by Māori men to fasten their long hair, which was oiled and sometimes braided, up into topknots.
Carved from treated and polished domestic cow bone.
