Ewan Parker & Wayne Turnbull

Ewan & Wayne are master carvers working together and sharing a studio in a rural town on the East Coast of New Zealand's North Island.
Their work is very distinctive with a bold yet elegant style and ranging from very traditional and finely detailed Tiki to more contemporary renditions of traditional elements such as the Koru and Toki. They believe that the stone will suggest the most appropriate carving hidden within so every piece is totally unique and perfectly matched to the sacred Pounamu from which it was born.

Once each piece sells it will be removed from our site permanently.

Please Note - Some examples on the jade pages show the carvings with a degree of back lighting to illustrate their luminosity.
This is how they look when held up to a light so they may appear a darker shade of green when held in the hand or worn against the skin.
Some common designs may be repeated but the combination of stone and design makes most of these pieces very unique.

All carvings are supplied complete with a traditional style cord & bag.
Most cords are hand made from black waxed braid with a loop and bone toggle fitted. A woven flax presentation case and information on the meaning of the design is also included.
