This extraordinary piece is carved from the surface of a natural Marsden Flower jade river stone so has a strong curved shape following the form of the original stone. On the back it features the natural textures and marks created on the outer surface of the stone as it was tumbled around and worn down over thousands of years by the action of the high alpine river in which it was found.
Includes an adjustable plaited waxed braid cord, a traditional woven presentation case and a detailed description of the meaning of the carving.
