This jade leaf represents new life and new beginnings.
The Kawakawa is a sacred native New Zealand shrub of the pepper tree family.
Its leaf is widely used in traditional Maori medicine and is one of the most important and versatile of all medicinal plants.
It is often characterized with many small holes in the leaf as the tiny looper caterpillars love the leaves so its generally quite hard to find leaves without the telltale caterpillar bites.
