Artists Profile:

After graduating from Elam School of Fine Arts, my exploration for the best way to
interpret the ideas I have about myself and the world around us drew me to the rugged
West Coast to begin my carving journey.
My main motivation is the search for a life enabling my creativity to flow freely and
connecting myself with the surrounding world. I delight in the stones material qualities
and the act of being physically involved in each and every one of my pieces. Creating is
certainly therapeutic for me and my affinity with using natural materials makes
Pounamu the perfect medium.
I am a contemporary artist whose work is greatly influenced by the natural world,
femininity, female sexuality from the creative perspective and the equivalency of energy
and consciousness.
