Gae works across several mediums and is a very well known abstract expressionist painter, sculptor in glass and large metal forms, and specializes in creative, contemporary jewelry working with precious metals.

Gae is a perfectionist in everything she does so every single element in all of her creations are made by her, from hand blown glass beads all the way up to the finely worked and textured silver and gold pieces that come together in her wonderful multimedia art works.


Her unique creative abstract style has made Gae's work very popular with fine art collectors both locally and internationally so it can be seen in top galleries both in New Zealand and world wide.

Gae has created many spectacular commissioned pieces from large multimedia sculptures to fine wedding and engagement rings.

Natures Way Collection - Leaves in Sterling Silver

These beautiful hand crafted pieces are of sterling silver which have had real leaves pressed into them at high pressure to leave the impressions of the leaf in the silver.
They have then been worked with a patinated finish and butterfly eggs in silver. They come on a thick black cord.

Natures Way Collection - Pohutukawa Twigs in Sterling Silver

The Pohutukawa tree is an amazing hardy and very gnarled native tree that can be found hanging precariously off cliff faces all along the New Zealand coastline. It has bright red flowers which appear over summer so it is often referred to as the New Zealand Christmas tree. (December is in summer in New Zealand)
These beautiful hand crafted pieces are of sterling silver which has been caste from real Puhutukawa twigs which has then been worked with a patinated finish.

About The Artists - Gae Webster

Gae Webster is an established and very well known Auckland (New Zealand) artist who works across several mediums. She is an abstract expressionist painter, sculpts in glass and large metal forms, and specializes in creative, contemporary jewelry working with precious metals.

Gae often has feature exhibitions of her work at galleries around the country, has art works in the city art collection and other international galleries, and has recently been published in an international jewelry book. Gae is the winner of the 2007 Showcase Awards in the Arts category for her contribution to arts in the community. She currently tutors in abstract painting and jewelry, and is the moderator for the jewelry department of Manukau Technical Institute.
