This is how they look when held up to a light so they may appear a darker shade of green when held in the hand or worn against the skin. Some common designs may be repeated but the combination of stone and design makes most of these pieces very unique. All carvings are supplied complete with a traditional style cord & bag. Most cords are hand made from waxed braid with a loop and bone toggle fitted. A woven flax presentation case and information on the meaning of the design is also included. About The Artist - Omni Caeon

Omni is a very passionate artist with a special place in her heart for Pounamu and this shows in the stunning artistry and the incredible quality of her work.

Omni first found her passion for the craft when she attended an exhibition of jade carvings by Don Salt. She was awed and deeply moved by the perfect beauty and intrinsic soul of his works. This inspiration stayed with Omni so she was very pleased when in 1989 Don consented to instruct her in basic stone working skills. Her growing passion and love for jade had influenced her attitudes and way of life ever since.

In 1991 Omni was able to harness the rewards of her passion establishing herself as a professional jade carver and artist. To this day she loves carving jade and believes it is a beautiful reflection of this country... New Zealand.
